What was the 1st FTA receiver (not C-Band and not 4DTV...actual DVB) receiver you got?
do you still have it?
do you still use it?

and if you have a pic of it that would be great.....now I know there will be some folks who started on a Openbox or azxbox but I'd really like to see the older receivers out there

Pansat 9200HD. No longer functional. Its quirks are why I wouldn't want any number of receivers that others are fanboys of, I want a receiver that just plain works, and preferably right out of the box.

Topfield TF4000Fi was my first I still have it and it still works. I have not had it hooked up in a few months though.

Coolsat 5000 Platinum.

The very first unit that I bought is still alive and kicking and I continue to use it. Right now everything is mothballed due to my relocation, but it will be the first receiver that I dig back out of storage to reset my dish once I get settled in. I was so pleased with my first one, I bought nearly a dozen of them (for extra rooms and just for spare parts). The CS 5K has been my most reliable and trusted component of my entire entertainment system and it's friendly, too.

I still own it (and another IV200), both are lent out to people that I have setup with fixed-dish systems.

Fortec Star Dynamic

Purchased from Robbie at Galaxy. I still use it and slave a Solomend pvr800 off of it. Great SD receiver.

I have 4 other receivers hanging around, I only use the present set up. Mostly for DX sats and tunning in the MUX on 72W.

I still have to take the dishes out side the garage to use, don't you just love HOA's

Pansat 2500a roger from rpssat had to put me on the waiting list for it as it was new and he was waiting for them to come in. I picked it up the same day he emailed me when they came in, had it still hooked up and running up to about a year ago. Had many recivers over the past few years and gave them away when I got a new one but the old Pansat sits in a box colecting dust, mite keep it for memories not sure if I'll give it away.

The first DVBS receiver was a Fortec Star 786v3. Since then 75+ receivers have served time in my home. The Fortec Star Lifetime Ultra stayed the longest and the developer, David McGrath earned my respect as one of the best DVBS STB guys ever to grace our hobby!

Pansat 3500SD. Still use it (hooked up to 8 satellites, 7 of which are also on the AZBox). Have had it for almost six years. Great blindscan, fast, and fairly sensitive, wish the AZBox could scan that fast! Nice sized meter that I can see on the TV I take outside to point a dish/LNB, whether up the ladder or on the roof, unlike the tiny thin meter on the AZBox, which you can barely see standing on the ground! When I point at a new satellite or add a new LNB, I always use the Pansat to point, only use the AZBox to fine tune S-2 signals.
