BYU is on 89? I don't see it referenced on Lyngsat or Sathint... is it new?
Nope, it's their BYU Global channel, which is mostly their religious stuff. It's not the BYU variety channel, like 91w c-band. I'm not sure how long it's been there. It's harder to get in, but I got it here (mid-michigan) a couple months ago when I still had the dual ku/c-band lnbf installed.

Thank you for clarifying. As just a small aside, I think the BYU variety channel on 91 C-band is very well done. Great programming and high quality picture.
Lyngsat lists BYU Global on 177W and the few times I checked the programming it was the same as BYU on 91W although the English audio is left channel only.
7.5 foot SAMI dish, but I watch the BYU Variety channel on 91w, not 89w. The variety channel is the good one, with tv shows and movies (lots of Disney movies) and such. The regular BYU GLOBAL channel on 89w is all their religious stuff and that sort.
I could get the 89w KU global one with my Winegard 1m dish when I had it up.
primestar31 I see the BYU mux on 89W at 11756 H 3345, FEC 5/6. Is that something different than what you were talking about?
I watch the one on C-band on 91w, that's the "BYU Variety" one, which is what you want. It's the ONLY FTA version of that channel. They have a lot of good shows, and frequently air Disney movies. The old-school ones from the '60's a such. So, if you can't pick it up, you can stream from their website I believe.

I understand; just trying to see if the BYU mux on 89 I am tuning is the same one you were receiving.
It is, when I had my KU lnb still installed (which I don't anymore for right now). Just something to scan in, as a satellite place-keeper.
Once awhile you can see news feeds from Hearst Argyle which own my local station KOAT-DT in Albuquerque!
They have bunch of sister stations using this bird for their news gathering feeds.
