A friend of mine told me that corporate told one of the gas station managers that they can expect it to go down to $1.59 in my area.

The report I am reading daily says the average drop is another 4 cents since yesterday which is now $2.05. The cheapest place is Sayre, PA at $1.56 and the highest place is Kailua Kona, HI at $4.89

Now I am wondering along with a few other folks if we will see $1 gas again as bad as the economy is and seeing how it is getting worse. If things keep going like they are, I can see $1.29-$1.39 gas in our future, perhaps cheaper in other areas that are not taxed as much.

I remember $1/gal gas in 1999.
