Going from two 722's to one 722 and two 612's

I am needing to go from two 722 receivers on my account to one 722 and two 612 receivers. Dish is wanting $200 to swap out the receivers and $95 for the install PLUS I must agree to 2 more years.

I don't want to pay this money for the privilege to lease their equipment. Since I am at the end of my 2 year agreement I thought they should do it for free if I am willing to agree to 2 more years. Literally, I can save money by switching to DirecTv but I don't really want to mess with that.

Have any of you ever got them to make an exception or give you something for free or at least at a discount?
Well, surprisingly, I called again tonight asking about adding another 612 receiver and the guy on the phone offered to transfer me to an "account specialist" because he might get me a better deal. The specialist gave me the 612 for free and the install for free. It was my 3rd time to call and I finally got somebody to work with me.

It probably helps that I have been a customer for 6+ years, I pay them $100/month, plus I always pay on time. Maybe it also showed in their computer that I had called 3 times. Who knows. In the end, I am happy.

I was thinking of replacing a 622 with a 922. I would then need an additional HD receiver. If the 612 is troublesome what would everyone suggest? "John"

From what I've read, the 612 runs into problems if you try to do too much at once with it.
Like recording 2 shows while trying to watch from the HD. Some owners claim it's fine if using just to watch live tv or off the HD and nothing else at the same time. Been thinking of getting one myself for spare bedroom but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Don't think I can use it like I use my 622. Occasionally I've found myself recording 3 events while watching a show from the HD while transferring multiple recordings to the EHD at the same time!
