Jimbo, perhaps you were thinking of the CE area.

DanG, this release started rollout last week, and may take a few weeks before it is released to all receivers, but as of late they have been pretty quick in rolling out software updates nationally.

They do this to reduce the rush to the tech support dept if any problems come up.

I'm getting a lot of audio drops on my HR20/700 (recorded shows only) running 0x5d2. Will this address this?
 
How do you force an update? My current firmware has basically made my HR-24 -500 laggy and horrible to use. It locks up when scrolling through the guide, locks up when scrolling through the list and freezes when searching . i've been calling since July for a fix or a new box.

Reboot and press 02468 on the first blue screen.

It will only download what Directv has authorized for your receiver. If it is real bad I would try resetting everything on the settings menu, which wipes the hard drive and starts fresh. If the problem continues it is probably a bad hard drive, we can help you test that if needed.
