Harmony 650

I want to try these harmony remotes but I don't want to spend a lot of money upfront until I know I'll like it. I'm looking a buying a harmony 650, I have a Yamaha receiver, HR-24, a newer 55' Sony LCD, and a PS3. Any thoughts on these and the remote or anybody used one?
