Hi everyone.

I'm new to the boards. I don't want to clutter up the board with stupid questions, but I my question is very basic (I think). So I'll aplogize in advance if this is something that has been answered 1000 times already. I know very little when it comes to this stuff, so any responses would be greatly appreciated.

We recently purchased all three major comcast services (approx. 2 months ago), and I jut noticed that we now have a grey box with the comcast logo on it attached to our utility pole outside our home, near the electric meter.

Can anyone tell me what the purpose of this box is? We live in PA, and I've read on some other sites that it may be local code that this box is required, but I still don't know what the purpose of the box is.

Again, I apologize for the really stupid question.

The box is the point where Comcast connects its outside wiring to you house wiring. It gives them a point test from as well as a place to add filters depending on your level of service. This box will make the connection weather resistant.
