I read through this thread regarding the "Urgent Action Required" for Pittsburgh HD local service:

http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?t=196720&highlight=hd+letter&page=4

But am too much of dish novice to know what most of it means. Can someone help with my situation?

i live in Rochester, NY but "moved" to Pittsburgh about 3 years ago. I got this letter in December as well, but ignored it at the time. I just got another one dated March 22, 2010. How does this effect me? How do i know if I need to do anything?

Thanks!

As of right now Pittsburgh is on 118.7 and 129

118.7 is conus (whole US) but 129 is on a spotbeam which isnt the whole US

They are removing Pittsburgh from 118.7 and only available on 129...so if you do not have 129 in your sat setup you'll be screwed soon :)
Here is the spotbeam for Pittsburgh...looks like Rochester is still in the beam

Thanks! If they do move it to 129, will I need to reconfigure anything with my set up or will it automatically find the locals where they are?
