help twinhan 102g

I just purchased a twinhanpci 102g card and have scanned with no luck. I have a signal strength 0f 40. I have a old DSS dish with lnb and also a dish 500 with lnb. I have no idea what i can pick up. I live near windsor, Ontario Canada if that helps.

pointed at 91w what sats can i get

i have my dish 500 pointed at 91w tried galaxy 11 scanned and nothing not even radio i believe it is my settings. i have a twinhan 102g. is there any better software out there. right now i have prog dvb and my theatre.

Dish 500 will not work for FTA if it uses a switch (some in built). If there is no switch and its not a Dish Pro LNB it can be used as a single dish pointing at any of the above satellites for the LEGAL FTA channels.

okay 12223 is the freq i would enter to get the bell express preview channel for 91w right. do i enter this into the lnb freq or the transponder freq

If its a regular DBS LNB then the L.O. should be 11250

ok. i will try both dishs just in case the dish 500 has a switch built in like you said it may not work.

so i can use my old dss dish and lnb if needed.

i have it pointed to 91 west right now.

i believe lyngsat sais i pick galaxy 11?

I am using Prog DVB.
Quality is zero and level is 34% and the next part is my prob, the settings.

LNB - gives me a bunch i pick galaxy 11 as per lyngsat?
Transponder -- 12509-v-6283 ?? i dont know which one gives me about 100 to pick from
then
freq?? polarisation?? and symbol rate??

Stacked dish 500 Digital LNBF will it work on FTA twinhan 102g

I have a stacked dish 500 and it sais Digital LNBF on the LNB will this work or does it have a built in switch? And therefore not compatiable with FTA. if so my lnb of my rca dss system sais DSS digital satellite system i believe it should work with my twinhanDTV 102 g card?
Any ideas

could someone help with settings i am using a rca dss dish and lnb. i have tried to understand lyngsat but do not get any channels. i do i need to use twinhan software or can i use progdvb?? i can never get the settings proper. i am pointed 110w get someone share there settings if they own a twinhan card or have used progdvb please.

The twinhan software sucks, and I've never used progdvb. Download ritzdvb (free) or MyTheatre (free with 1 hour limit until you buy it).

For ritzdvb, make a new text file in the transponders folder, and copy the following into it:

I stole these from the ritzdvb website. They have other ini files for other FTA birds once you get your setup working. Of course you'll need a bigger dish and linear lnb!
