I just bought 6100 private, but am trying to set it up with a motor 2100 and doesn't seem to move the motor with usals on it's own, so im wondering if the receiver has the capability to move the dish, or it doesn't even have the satellites positions stored in it.?
thanks for help

USALs and motor

You must first program the receiver, that is, tell the receiver where you are on the map by entering your longitude and latitude. Then the receiver will move, when you save the satellite you want to find that it should position by USALS. Otherwise, you can program by 1.2 DISEq rules, these allow you to tell the receiver to move east or west manually, then save the satellite you have found.

The 6100 manual will give you the map to follow, that is, what buttons to press to accomplish each motor function and where to find them in your menu. The motor manual will tell you in approx. terms, where to set each of dish setup elevations (both motor elevation and dish elevation make up a "polar mounting system" that apply declination from "you're just a spot on the map", your latitude and longitude). USALS uses the same lat. and long. to calculate and postion the motor and dish to where each satellite is located in the arc of satellites located from the eastern horizon to the western one.:D
