I have an h10 hi-def receiver.. why doesn't it work with a SWIM hi- def dish... I just want regular programing . not hi- def..I no its old but i just want standard digital ch's... It works with a 5 LNB dish with the built in 4 way multi-switch

The H10 is not SWM compatible.

To get it to work and keep SWM, you will need to get a SWM switch.
Which means you will need to get a legacy LNB and run 4 lines to the SWM switch.
Run your other receivers off the SWM ports of the switch and the H10 off one of the legacy ports.

However, if you just care to have standard def off it, then get an 18" dish and run it off that, or better yet, call D* and add a standard receiver to the account (shoudn't cost much).
