I think he takes over at least by the fourth week at the Houston Texans. I think they'll push the panic button pretty early considering they are playing their division rivals in the first three weeks and all three of those games should be pretty tough (even Kansas City is much improved). I'm still not certain about Denver with Kyle Orton but division play always seems to be tough... I know they'll be better off if they go to starting Garcia.

Yeah I think Denver is the hiccup there... they could start 0-2 pretty easily (they could beat the Chiefs too though) and winning vs Denver by just crushing them with the run and playing just mediocre or better defense could keep Garcia sitting a little while longer.

Houston would be a good game to get Garcia acclimated with playing on gameday again though, before facing that Giants, Eagles, Jets stretch. If Russell is struggling that's when the switch should happen, otherwise if they go all the way to the bye before making a switch the season is already over.

They'll finish 2nd or 3rd in the division, with SD and Denver as the bread in a Chiefs/Raiders sammich.

The Raiders have to play the NFC East and at Pittsburgh, but I see several winnable games otherwise.

I don't think 8-8 or even 9-7 is out of the question.

I see maybe 6 wins.

Interestingly the OP never posted what they thought the results would be.
Or did they think they would win them all ?

To his credit he's trying to do the right things (like arranging workouts with his WRs who don't have a crap hamstring outside of normal practice time), hopefully not just because there's some finally there capable of taking his spot. If his work ethic and accuracy hasn't changed it'll show come gameday and then it will quickly become 'is Al Davis running the show and keeping Russell in?' in the media.

Hugo, LOVE your winning attitude...but I am HOPING for a 7-9 season(a 2 game improvement over last year)....and praying for a 8-8 season. Realistically, I see a 6-10, 7-9 season.

It is amazing me how people here, who barely watch the Raiders...other than their usual 15 seconds on ESPN....think that most of the fault the last couple of years has fallen on JaMarcus' lap. Last I checked, he doesn't run receiver routes and MOST QBs have had more or less the same coach and offensive scheme to learn....but maybe it's me?! This year, we MAY have some decent weapons catching passes and a HEALTHY running back corp. I feel very optimistic in a VERY WEAK AFC West.

You're right. there are other issues that need to be resolved in order to know what jamarcus is made of. once the weapons are there then we'll know. i also see a 7-9 season but wouldn't mind seeing the raiders have a better record.

With the emergence of Johnny Lee Higgins and Chaz Thillens, improvement of Zack Miller and the drafting of Darrius Heyward-Bey....we have the possibility of a pretty decent receivers corp.

I will definately cross my fingers!:D

2-16. (Wins in Red).

Tough schedule. Raiders have to play the AFC North and NFC East. Ouch.
