H.264 can be modulated all sorts of other ways other than DVB-S2.
It seems that most Ku broadcasts are either DBV-S or DVB-S2 these days, though. But I will say I am still relatively new to this, so I welcome others to chime in.

There are other modulation systems than DVB-S and DVB-S2, even on ku . Shaw Direct uses Digicipher II modulation on 107w. On C-band you can find the former three modulation types plus a h265 type for 4K .
