I just upgraded to the Hopper 3 and cannot figure out how to get the channel guide to only show my HD channels. Is there any way to do this?
Go in to Settings and click on Guide. Under Advanced turn on Hide Duplicate SD Channels.I just upgraded to the Hopper 3 and cannot figure out how to get the channel guide to only show my HD channels. Is there any way to do this?
Press Home twice, go over to Guide and select, press Options, go to Guide Settings and select it, go down to Hide Duplicate SD Channels and enable to On. This will hide the SD channels that also have an HD version. You will see SD channels that do not have an HD version.I just upgraded to the Hopper 3 and cannot figure out how to get the channel guide to only show my HD channels. Is there any way to do this?
So there is no way to hide SD channels completely like I did with my 722K?Press Home twice, go over to Guide and select, press Options, go to Guide Settings and select it, go down to Hide Duplicate SD Channels and enable to On. This will hide the SD channels that also have an HD version. You will see SD channels that do not have an HD version.

Yes. On the 722K there is a setting to hide SD channels completely. I believe you have to hit the guide button several times to toggle between displaying all channels, subscribed channels or just HD channels.I had a 722 and I don't remember it having such a setting. Are you sure about that?
Because I don't watch SD channels. They look like crap.I don't remember seeing it too on the 722. Why would you want to hide SD channels completely!
If you hit Guide 3 times it went to a Gold Screen that hid all SD CHannels on VIP Receivers. I had a lot of trouble calls because people who did this couldn't find the SD only channels in their guide. It was probably removed just because of thatI don't remember seeing it too on the 722. Why would you want to hide SD channels completely!
Then create a custom channel guide with no SD ChannelsBecause I don't watch SD channels. They look like crap.
Or turn on 'Parental Controls' and remove all of the cruft that you don't want to see in the guide.
The advantage of this over a favorites list is that free previews will show up in your guide as soon as they are alive, and disappear when they are gone. Just don't forget your PIN.
When the needs of one outweigh the needs of many.....Thanks. Will give that a shot. Dish really should add the My HD channels option to the Hopper channel guide though. Ridiculous that the VIP receivers have it and the Hopper doesn't.

I'd say I'm not the only one. When the needs of one outweigh the needs of many.....
But one of the few... On another note, I noted on my neighbor's 211K that when he is in HD channels only he is unable to see the music channels in the guide. You can input the channel directly and it goes to that music channel but it doesn't appear in the guide. So, because he uses the music channels often he must stay in All Channels.I'd say I'm not the only one.
