Hopper Duo Question

We have a Hopper Duo and it fits our needs pretty well. The latest software version introduced an annoying trait . When a timer is about to start for a channel other than the one we are watching, a warning pops up informing us of the timer and forcing us to allow or deny it. We always click allow, and then the Duo automatically switches to the timer channel as soon as recording starts. We have to press recall to get back to channel we had been watching, usually missing the end of the show. There is never a conflict with both tuners recording when this happens. I cannot find any option in the menus to prevent this from happening.

Any thoughts (other than a Hopper 3)? I don't want to get saddled with another 2 year commitment to upgrade. Actually, the Duo is perfect for us, but this timer issue is an annoyance. Thanks in advance!

What happens if you deny it? I believe the recording will still take place. I have a Hopper 3 and get pop ups for some game that has a team that is in my favorites. I'm not even going to record it but it wants to let me know that the game is about to start. I don't press allow or deny at all and I continue to watch what I was watching, the pop up goes away on its own..
