How do I adjust overscan ?

I have an RCA 34" direct view hdtv and was wondering if anyone knows how to get into the service menu and then to adjust the overscan for one of the inputs.

While I'm happy with most everything else, I do sometimes loose part of the letters on those top / bottom banners on some channels.

Assuming some one here is knowledgable and kind enough to post how to get into the service menu, is making these adjustments simple enough for the average person ?
