I just moved into a home that isn't capable of supporting a reliable wifi network (concrete brick house) and I'm trying to get reliable Internet to my room. There is a HR44 connected via wifi (10ft) that could also be wired in if would help. I do have a c41-700 in my room that pulls recordings from HR44 so I know I have network traffic.

Can I purchase a splitter and deca adapter to have the HR44 pump Internet into my room? If I can't split can I just use a deca adapter(internet is priority over directv), will it communicate with the HR44?

afaik, you can use a pair of decas to essentially convert ethernet into coax and back again for home use. i would recomend not using the same coax for both internet and client use. if possible a 2nd would probably better, dedicated for just "internet" use as it were. but having no first hand knowledge this is mostly speculation.
