I thought only VIP seris can use DISH REMOTE?

I am confused on this.
 
How would I make this work on my 625 then?
Make it work ? It already does... Did you try ?

On non-ViP receivers, it "programs" via the satellite feed. Notice how some features say "IP only" ? Those features require two-way communication, hence why they're unavailable on the 512, 525, and 625.
 
It will allow you to setup timers that are sent via the satellite signal. Keep in mind though receivers not connected to broadband will be limited to 5 event timers within a 30-minute time span.
 
I could be wrong.. But I thought it had to be hooked up by at least a phone line.. Since you can't hook up Internet to those models??
