IE 8 Beta 2

Has anyone downloaded the IE 8 Beta 2? if so any remarks?

Tried one of the betas on a computer I could care less about. Tons of compatability problems between apps (Flash, etc.), sites, etc. Did not completely uninstall either and problems persisted. Just reinstalled everything and said be done with it.

It's getting better. Still have to hit the compaitiblity mode button a lot, but it IS a beta.

Feature-wise there are some cool things coming.

I'm using it now and while it has some cool features I've noticed a lot of bugs... a lot of times when opening up multiple tabs it just has a tendency to error out and shut down. Luckily it only errors out that tab now and it doesn't shut down all of your tabs. Hopefully a lot of the bugs get fixed in the next update.

Microsoft Warns of IE8 Lock-in With XP SP3

Guys, I just read this on PCWorld, I have the link below. It is a BETA!

Microsoft Corp. yesterday warned users of Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) that they won't be able to uninstall either the service pack or Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) under some circumstances.

Beta 1 had problems but Beta 2 has been very nice. No problems since I uninstalled beta 1 and updated to beta 2.

I had a lot of problems with beta 2 to the point that I uninstalled it as I was just fedup. The program kept telling me I had no internet connection (despite Firefox and Safari finding one with no problem), some pages would appear plain without formatting, and others would just crash after they started loading.

I had my machines updated to sp3 before I loaded IE8b2. Don't know if it matters.

Yeah betas are usually not as stable but I think its better than 7 and seems to be a bit faster..
