In Central Oregon reception and set up?

Interested in perhaps jumping to Direct for HD and reception.

In Bend area does anyone know what size dish they will install and which SAT it will look at.

Wondering about "moving" possibilities later to get locals out of Portland or NY

There are 5 satellites up there and it depends on which channel you want to watch as to which satellite you would draw a signal from; Unless you live in a place where you cannot get a local channel signal OTA or on the satellite, you most likely wouldn't be able to get the NY channels. You local channel people prefer that you watch them so that they can keep their advertising prices as high as possible.

"Moving" may not work for Portland locals because of spot beam coverage (the HD beams seem to be smaller than those for SD). The only dish they are installing for HD is the AU-9 "Slimline", which has 5 LNBs.
