I have just installed the QPH-031. Now I have a setup question. My spec's first:
Coolsat 4000 Pro
QPH-031 LNB
Lava 4 X 1 DISEqC switch
HH90 motor
39" Fortec Star dish

My switch is set as: 1 for linear 2 for circular

In the CoolSat Installation Main Menu Dish Settings:
1. What is the LNB type? single, universal, OCS, OCS-DP, ... ?
2. LNB Frequency: If linear 10.750, circular 11.250? How, and where are H anv V differentated? How, and where are right and left circular polarization differentiated?
3. Is 22KHz ON or OFF? What function does this perform?
4. How is DISEqC set? 1.0, or 1.0/1.1?
5. What is Committed used or configured for? Linear or Circular Port?
6. What is Uncommitted used or configured for? Unused ports on switch?

Lastly, if I have a satellite which has a linear and circular signal, do I need to set-up two Motor Setting (uniquely named) satellites?

Always, thanks for helping me.

LNB Type is STANDARD!

The L.O. for the linear side is 10750

The L.O. for the circular side is 11250

Yes you would have to have two named satellites for each polarity.

I would FORGET the switch until you are all set up!

Answers:
1. Single (with that lnb)
2. Yes, the lnb will decypher it for you
3. Off, I'll let someone else explain this
4. 1.0
5. Here you enter the port number being used on the particular satellite, if you're using 1 for linear, it should be used on most sats; if you're using 2 for circular, it will be used for the DBS sats.
6. Don't worry about the uncommitted, you would need to be using 1.0/1.1 and have an 8x1 or 16x1 Diseqc switch.
Lastly - Yes, I think when this occurs the sats are already listed different for the most part, although you may have to create or rename some (I'm not sure, as I don't really mess with the DBS sats much).

Thanks

Thanks for all for the encouragement and help. I'm clearer on the Invacom configuring process and have had success receiving signals.
Hummmmmm! Now I just have to figure out how to add a satellite. NDFEdit will be my first approach.
Thanks again. :)
