iOS, MacOS, etc. 26 is making me seriously consider switching

Today's annoyance: Apple Fitness simultaneously thinks I have 857 active calories and 81 exercise minutes while showing Saturday (up top) as being a very light day.

I've not seen that, but I usually don't use the Fitness+ app on my iPhone. Try sliding the rings to the left and see what it does.

Yeah, I played around with it, restarted the app, etc. It is showing me a mix of data from the current and previous days. I've had an Apple watch for 10 years, and it never worked like this before the latest iOS update.

If it wasn't clear, I regret upgrading. I recommend everyone who can wait until they fix the problems or come out with something better.

The problem with waiting is apparently the previous generation of iDeviceOS has an exploitable vulnerability that can compromise your iDevice security. I don't know if it's something that Apple can fix, which bums me out with family members with vision issues which would make "Liquid Glass" impossible to use.

I've not tried but I thought it was possible to turn off the Liquid Glass feature?

I haven't tried it yet. I need to be sure on their iPad as there's no going back. Also, the windowing in iPadOS needs to be shut down to prevent any possible confusion. That's fairly easy to do.

I guess I don't feel obligated to have the latest and greatest. I updated my Mac in 2015. The OS and Office stopped getting upgrades years ago, but it keeps on doing most everything I need it for. Last year, TurboTax stopped supporting/ working on Monterrey, so I changed tax programs.
I suppose atsome point I may need to change, but I may just go pure android tablet at that point. I do most work on one anyway and simply can't justify Apple's prices for my simple needs.
