Is it possible for a feedhorn to go bad

Yes, there has been reports of the inside plastic breaking on some units. Not knowing what you've checked the first thing I would check is to make sure that hornets haven't build a nest inside feedhorn. Also check that your receiver is set for the dual feedhorn setting.
If its a c/ku , yes definitely they can go bad. Little puny plastic rod they made to move the ku-side probe is prone to breaking. Had more than one to do that,usually it would end up with one polarity of ku that would still work (depends on where the probe is when the rod breaks).
If you have a dual-c-band feed, don't know how they could break unless a lnb went bad.

I figured out the problem.Some how one
of
my RG6 cables went bad.I the whole cable from
end to end.I had to rerun a new rg6 cable to the vertical Lnb
and everything works again.I still don't know what happen to
the cable because i could not find any nicks or cuts on the rg6 line.

Check to make sure both feedhorn throats have the plastic intact, they may not move but not knowing how old your feedhorn is one of them may have deteriorated with heat and age. Should look like this picture.
I have that exact same Chaparral feedhorn, on both my 6 and 8 foot dishes. They perform rock solid with Norsat LNBs.
