Is there anyway to watch live tv while recording a show on dish dvr?

I know with a dual tv tuner you can record on one tv and watch on the other. Only problem for me is that my sister is on tv 2 and im on tv 1. She wants to watch tv but i wanna record a show while watching Orlando Magic basketball. Is there anyway to fix this or do it? Maybe Tivo? Thanks

If one is on the OTA tuner, you can watch that (or record that) and watch the other while she is still watching tv2. (there are actually three tuners in the dish DVR's)

There are three tuners only in the HD ViP DVR's not the SD tuners such as the 522 and 625.

Nope. Only if you have a 622/722 with a seperate OTA Antenna.

Her only option is to watch a previously recorded show or what you are recording.... or you can put it in Single Mode and she can watch what you are watching.....
