Is This a Valid LNB Configuration for Two Hopper 3?

That's why it wouldn't be connected, because there's no functional use for it. Unless the switch check expects to see the 129 LNB and causes an error because it's not there. Which it sounds like it won't matter that 129 is not connected, check switch will be 👍 .
The software in the Hopper has been set to only look for 110 and 119. You are golden.

How do you have two H3s running off your LNBs (a WA hybrid?) and one Hybrid Solo Hub?
We have one hopper 3 running off our WA hybrid and 6 joeys when needed off of a solo hybrid with 2 3 way holland splitters is how dish set us up!!! to clear things up i wanted 7 hopper 3's and make em into one big media server but that can't be done so solid signal got a return!!!

i wonder if the dish and LNB can be bought yet of if only still for new installs.. everyone wants the new dish

Our hopper don't look for the 129!!! so the 3rd eye is just there for the ride along ;)..The eyes on the wa twin are a bit bigger than the old school LNB;)

Getting two H3s on one Western Arc dish installed but came up short missing a DP or DPP LNB to feed a DPH 42 switch. I'm waiting a few days to get a DPP WA LNB to continue the installation. What got me here was having to abandon the EA dish for a WA and only having a DHP hybrid LNB for 110-119.

I only have two RG6 coax routed to the equipment room from the WA satellite. A 3rd line would involve drilling another hole through the exterior wall, which I'd rather not do.

My question is- what happens if a DPP LNB is connected to a DPH 42 switch with only the 110 and 119 feeds and then the check switch is ran from the receivers? Will the H3s error out and not complete the test and not tune the connected satellites? Or, would the H3s complete the switch test and just report bad connections for 129, then function OK. The current DHP hybrid LNB only gets 110 and 119 so there is no programming coming from 129.

If anyone is wondering, the setup is pretty much what has been discussed here multiple times with a Hybrid Duo Hub.

Dish says use two Solo Hubs instead of one Duo Hub but as charlesrshell says, it works this way just fine

There's a non-hybrid WA 110-119 only LNB? I'm all ears.

This brings the question of Dish moving to Hybrid LNBs and not doing their work with DPP or DP equipment any more. This could be a major driver of them resisting multiple H3 installations and streamlining equipment requirements with 16 or less tuners.
They were resistant to dual Hop 3 setups long before the 129 came down

How would two H3 installations look IF there were no DPP LNBs available? Can two independent hybrid LNBs (two dishes) feed two solo hubs (or the duo hub) and create one MoCa network? Would two Hopper 3s function to share content on one network with the Joey(s)?
No

Which WA LNB without 129 works with the two H3 setup?
I'm not sure a DPH LNB works wit ha 42 switch - it may - but since the Hopper 3's kill the 2nd output on the DPH LNBF normally, I don't know how it would work with the switch. FWIW, Hopper Duo's also kill that 2nd output on a DPH LNB, but that's not the case with a DPP LNB. Meaning a Hopper Duo will work off of the 2nd and 3rd outputs on the DPP LNBF.

So you're saying your LNB is the old DP or DPP? And, it has the 129 eye just along for the ride? Is the third coax connected to the 42 switch?
Third coax is not necessary any longer since the 129 doesn't show up in the check switch screen as you can see in Charles' pic

LNBs are hybrid. My old dish had the old DP LNBs. Yep, 129 is along for the ride sticking out there like a sore thumb, not connected to the switch or dish. I would do anything the get the new two LNB style Western Arc dish. Here is pic with just 110 and 119 connected to my DPH42 switch.
Can you take a picture of your dish (if you have a Slimline LNB) or the data plate on the LNB itself (if it's not Slimline)?? I just want to confirm it's a DPH LNB and not a DPP LNB.

Any luck getting the new dish yet 🤔
Nope, not yet and it pisses me off. I am a big dedicated Dish customer. I am going to die with them. They should let me have the new Western Arc dish. I would gladly pay for it. If you find one let me know. I don't like the old LNBs on this small ass 1000.2 they installed. I had a 1000+ dish before and never had rain fade issues. I need them there new bigger eyed LNBs. Come on someone. Sell me one please

I did post a pic in the other thread. Later on I will get you a post # in the other thread and post it here again. I hope someday you do a St Louis site visit HipKat and look me up.

HipKat, check out post #90 in this thread. This is the LNBs in my 1000.2 dish. Let me know what you find out. Thanks.
