Keep getting "UPDATE SW" on my SV 360 Premier?

Today,Im getting the notice of "update SW" and then it locks the reciever where I cant change channels.
I downloaded the latest SW version from the SV site and nothing..still get it...then I did a factory reset..lost all my channels...loaded the SW update again...and now the reciever wont find any channels when I do a blind scan...so right now im dead in the water!
Whats the problem?
I had this problem before....but cant remember who helped me....why does SV post udates if they are useless?
