It sure was, the station thats still stuck in the 1960's.

I know several people at one of our local stations here. They have a huge...maybe 16ft, C band dish on the building. It's been up there for years. One day I'm gonna ask 'em if they're still using it! :D:up

Sure, it's a crappy web interface, but still, its... a web interface on a satellite receiver. Oh how I wish all of mine had one of those.

The other thing that majorly amazes me is that the system is capable of data over satellite.

Someone on here mentioned that PBS does that as well, and I am willing to bet they use something like this.

Also it sounds like that days of subscribing to a feed and getting every thing are over. This satellite receiver must be authorized for not only service, but for each specific show, and or time slot.

That’s what I call an overly secure system for program content delivery.

most local AM stations are ;)

Those stations usually survive on sports...high school, college, pros. A couple weeks ago on a saturday I was out driving around (the Twins were on in the afternoon) and found them on 18 stations on AM

Most were local stations and in your area there are 3 "local" stations that carry them
920 KDHL
1080 KYMN
1350 KCHK

I guess if they can affiliate with the Twins & Vikes they know they can survive. Locla folks will advertise on sporting evernts ;)
