Off Topic ! [Last night 721/921 got new version].

My comment was mostly directed to how the 721 has it, but the 622 (and 942) which would really benefit (supporting wide screen and all) don't.

As far as dbstalk having a thread about it, most people here don't go there, so a thread there has no bearing (I had actually searched here to see mention of it, but only found the 625 mention in this thread).

No one outside of the beta testers are seeing this on the 622. The 211 (and 411 ??) rec'd this change recently, in the past two weeks or so.... Rather old news at this point.

The 211s/411s received the update last week and yes it added the HD channels mapdown and the HD logo.

They are also reporting a 4-5 second channel change time. Could that be a reason 4.01 was delayed for the Vip622??

The gossip is that they just discovered the issue that delayed it's release. A slow channel change is NOT something last-minute.

In my own experience, there wasn't any change in the 211 channel change speed.

Same here. I don't know what others are noticing but it feels the same speed to me to change channels on the 211.

Sorry, misread you're post.
Since it was right after our mention of the 721 getting side by side PiP, it looked like you scolded us for being off topic, and for repeating something from somewhere else. Thanks for providing the link though
