Last: Quantum of Solace. A good sequel that brought closure to the story started in Casnio Royale. However, the director and editor should be taken out and flogged for the really hideous editing job on this movie. The ASL was probably something like 1.2. That's just absurd, and there's no reason for it...unless the director or editor had ADHD or something! Sheesh!

I absolutely loved Casino and it was one of if not my favorite Bond films to date, so I also had high expectations for QoS, but the editing really threw me for a loop! I don't think I've been that dizzy during a movie since Cloverfield!

BTW, the director was Marc Foster (Finding Neverland, Stranger than Fiction and Moster's Ball). The thing is, Marc has NEVER shown this style of directing previously. I think he was experimenting with a new style and ventured off from what he was comfortable at.

Last: Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick (looked and sounded great).

Btw, there appear to be some bad Chronicles of Riddick discs out there, extended cut of movie will freeze up in chapter 4, about 14 minutes into the movie. Happens on PS3, panasonic, sony, pioneer, etc. I had it happen on my first pack which I got from amazon. I went to bestbuy, got another 2 pack and it plays fine. Many people are reporting problems with the amazon purchased pack, so maybe they got a bad batch of discs. Either way, at least amazon is easy to return to.

I really enjoyed CR as well, as it gives an interesting kick-start to the Bond franchise. It's not my most favorite Bond film, but it's definitely somewhere in my top 15.

I was just reading some of the trivia info on imdb.com and it seems that the second unit director, Dan Bradley, was hired on the basis that he worked on The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum...hm...maybe that would help explain why QoS has the feel of the Bourne films in the action sequences?

Last: Role Models PQ/AQ was acceptable. It's a comedy, nothing was really gonna blow me away. I found myself laughing pretty hard at some of the lines. Paul Rudd's delivery on some lines was perfect for me.

Also, watched Max Payne.... Pretty good to watch, sound was engaging for me, gun shots were strong etc. Story was really disconnected for me. Never played the game, so I guess I expected a stronger story. Seemed like a waste of actors.
