I was actually very disappointed with the new Total Recall. Glad I didn't purchase it. I don't understand why everyone likes it.
While watching this movie I couldn't stop thinking "Haven't I seen this before?!"
And not just the original Total Recall! Every other scene and camera angle reminded me of some other action or Sci-Fi movie I watched before!
It seems the filmmaker was "inspired" by so many movies! It would've made a great parody if it was funny.
It did have some good action and special effects, but to me, the story, the acting, the characters, even the humor of the original movie were not even touched.
And in general, I don't understand the purpose of remaking an old classic, other than to exploit the success of a well-known title.
