MI. Wasn't crazy about it, and it proved my instinct prescient.

Was hoping to still catch The Phoenician Affair

We watched the 50th Anniversary showing of "Jaws" last night. Mrs. Foxbat had never seen the whole movie start to finish. It still holds up after all these years. And she jumped at the right times, too!

I remember seeing that on TV as a kid and thinking what a fun and silly romp. Mama Foxbat had the Ian Fleming book "Casino Royale" on the bookshelf so I thought I would read it. I peaked at the last page and saw that it was NOTHING like the movie I knew.

That's because Charles K. Fieldman, the movie's producer acquired the film rights to Casino Royale in 1960. He made an attempt with EON producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman to have it made with their franchise, but an agreement was never made. He then decided to make it as a Bond spoof and had the story rewritten.

I watched "The Intern" a few weeks back ... it was pretty good.

I didn't know that it was an old movie (not really old 2015) brought back ... I guess it did OK originally, but it was brought on Netflix this time and doing much better.

Enjoyed Long Distance on Hulu. A movie made during the pandemic iirc, simple man wakes early from cryo because their big ship crashed on a desolate planet' movie starting Anthony Ramos (Hamilton, Ironheart).

If you like that premise, id give it a go, and skip the trailer, which as usual reveals a bit much imo.
