Leased Equipment

Hi, the company I worked for was contracted to clean out a Circuit City store after it went under and we were able to take anything left. Some of those items included a few Directv HD receivers and DVRs. The receivers are still sealed and in the box, though they state that the receivers are leased and property of Directv. Would these still be able to be activated?

Don't see why not since they're new and never activated before (if they still have the DirecTV seal on them).

But they probably are leased and are the property of DirecTV.
