Ok I have a question...I have been reading different post's and responses and I am wondering about the lo frequency. I have a Fortec lifetime classic NA and am using a universal lnbf, I have been looking for different satellites lately and have had some trouble with some of them, would having the lnbf set to universal cause me a problem? If it is a problem what do I need to do to change it in the fortec (I think it is in the antenna set up)? If I do change it what about lnbf power (the Fortec allows a change in lnbf power in anything but uni)?
Thanks

The only satellite that needs the Universal option is PAS9 (58W). The rest are standard.

If you have a Universal, there is two ways you can set the LO frequency
-set it as a Universal and it defaults to 9750/10600
-set as standard LNB with a LO of 10600 and turn the 22k on

This also helps with blind scan as the receiver doesn't need to scan the low band (which other than PAS9 doesnt exist on most satellites for North America)
