I have a dish 500 now but can I purchase just the HD LNB,s and remove my 500 pro LNB.s and install the new LNB,s to make my system HD?

I would be looking to purchase the 1000.4 for S.Florida.

You would need the entire 1000.4 dish and replace the dish 500.

There is no such thing as an HD LNB. All Dish LNBs are capable of receiving all Dish BSS satellites. Garys is right; you want to replace the whole D500 with a 1000.4, including integrated LNB and switch assembly.
