Hi folks -
DirecTV is coming out on Friday to help with this issue, but wanted to get some opinions here too. We've got two H21 receivers and they both are having the same issue. On local HD channels we are getting sometimes pixilated pictures (not a huge problem) and on playback of recorded shows we are usually getting a grey screen instead of sound and picture.

When I look at the signal strengths the signal for the 99 satellite are significantly lower than the others (in the 50's).

Could this contribute to either or both of those issues?

Thanks,
--Dan

You don't give us your zip code but 99(b)) (and 103(a)) carry only spotbeamed locals and it is highly likely your locals don't come from there. because of the design of the dish you can ignore 99 anyway for dish aiming - you align the dish on 101 and 119, and then make fine tuning adjustments for 103(b). When you max out on 103(b) everything else will be aligned, including 99. So what are your 101 and 103(b) signals, all transponders?
