I run an sg2100 for ku which is driven by a Openbox s9. We got back from a two month trip about a week ago and I have noticed my motor works on all the eastern half and center of the arc but when I try to got to a western satellite (G18 or AMC 21), the motor does not respond. I move it manually outside or with the remote to these satellites. The settings have not change as I started with USALS and then changed them all to diseqc operations a couple months before we left on our trip.

Short of moving to point X (my southern most point) and resetting does anyone know if this can be corrected another way? I have tried to save the locaton and position after using the remote to these two sat.s but that does not correct the problem.
Thanks.

DiSEqC 1.2 positions are stored in the motor.

Maybe activate USALS and determine if the motor responds to these receiver calculations instead of referencing the motor's internally saved memory positions.

Tried it three times. Rebooted after setting to USALS the last time and still it will not go to those two sats out west, regardless of where I start. It will go as far west as 103 (amc15 is on a fixed dish).

Can you move the motor, using the remote to 125W, and then scan in the channels , again ? You might also try clearing out all the unused transponders and satellite definitions in the Openbox. With other recievers, I've seen motor performance suffer when contiguous memory was low in the receiver.
:)

Check to see if there is a west limit set by the receiver. Drive the motor to the physical west limit and set again. See if USALS will control the motor. If not, you may need to reset the motor.

To reset the motor, move the dish to Zero position and perform a hardware reset on the motor. This will erase all saved motor positions. See if USALS will control the motor. If not, you may need to also reset the receiver.

Save your channel User Data to a USB and perform a Master reset on the receiver. Try controlling the motor with USALS. If it works, reload your User Data and see if USALS still works. If not, the data may be corrupted and you might need to rebuild your satellite and channel list.

Have not had a chance to give the latest suggestions a shot yet, very busy here today, soon as I find out which one works I will let you know. Thanks.
