It's a linear tp, not circular. 18" is a bit small for any linear signal. Not to say it won't work, but it's a bit like doing a mini bud.

I 've been playing with my old hughes 18inch dish modded for a universal LNB and can get 30w fine at the moment. However it is a cloudless sky and low humidity. My spec analyser shows a huge peak 11884V and 12052v. Providing you have LOS it should be very easy to find.
Don't know your latitude, but you are certainly east of me so well worth a try.

I am glad to hear that you all are getting into this satellite (Hispasat @ 30W). I have been watching it ever since I relocated my dish to get a clear LOS for it and have been watching it for at least a couple of years now.

This sat is exceptional, like 97W in regards to FTA channels available in the sheer number of channels which are open and in the clear.

Cubavision has to be the best of them, because of their station's content. I really enjoy it, most of the time. Especially weekends.

I haven't posted anything about it for quite a long time, but I am glad to see that the word is finally spreading. For certain, this sat is a nugget of a find!

It is also a strong bird for most who are in its LOS. Even though it is low on the horizon for some members to the west. Sorry for some of you folks out too far west and cannot receive it.
