will mpeg2 receivers still work for non hd channels after sept 1st??

With the possible exception of local channels, yes.

There are some new features that old receivers may complicate or screw you out of.

we have several receivers in a headend that are still mpeg 2 and only use for non hd channels - just wanted to know if they needed to be replaced
