ive been an installing tech for directv for 6 years this feb 20th. ive been involved as an MSP, HSP, retail tech and an independent tech. i have contracts in force with MSP and e-tailers currently.

my advice?!

our IRDS should have all of the following:

2 sets of rca jacks

2 digital optical jacks

2 component sets of jacks

1 s -video jack

1 HDMI jack

1 DVI jack

just some advice from a committed tech.


and for gods sake power up the spaceway twins!!

and bury ergen!!!:devil:

he doesnt. directv does monitor these sites HEAVILY. so maybe the posts will trickle UP.

That would make distribution throughout a house much easier. Which is why they won't do it. They want you to add more IRD's and pay the mirroring fees.

Granted, I would pay more for dual component outs. Would have saved me $250 for a component amp.
