They cleaned up real nice..
Is there any use for the transmit module or should I just throw it in the junk pile?

No use for that.

We receive only not transmit. My dishes are all fiberglass dishes.

I use a old channel master prime star dish and works good. The other is a converted an old dishnet international dish and put a linear ku lnb on it. pole mount on ground not on roof.
