NBC on 105W

Hi all,

Good news…according to TVRO Sat, NBC east and west is FTA at 4020H 30,000.
Bad news…at least for me, it's 16spk. I can't receive it.

I wasn't looking as much for the NBC sports feed, but rather the east and west feeds so I can catch the Nightly News.
When I went to 105w to scan this frequency, it showed up on my scan but never loaded due to it being 16spk.

One of the NBC muxes on 105 is gone. They've moved the channels elsewhere.

They have been encrypted for some time now, but yesterday's post from TVRO Sat indicated they were one again, FTA.

Are you sure? What I'm seeing on TVROSat is an update today saying that NBC on 4020 H 30000 is removed

Correct. 4140 H 34286 is the remaining NBC mux on 105. Some of the services are Biss, some are Conax. It is S2 16APSK.

A TBS 6904se card will decode 16APSK signals (possibly some other TBS Cards too, but you can't always go by their description, so if you were going to get one I'd get it from a source where you can return it if it doesn't work) but that is not your real issue with NBC, the issue there is it has been BISS encrypted for quite some time now, at least a year or two and maybe longer. That is true for both their C-band and Ku-band feeds.

I just checked the TVRO Sat. site this morning (Sunday) and their satellite update now shows NBC east and west removed as you stated. Earlier yesterday they were listed fta.
Well that didn't last long.
