NESN HD not in service?

I switched from Dish about a month and a half ago so I wouldn't have to watch the Red Sox in SD anymore.

Opening Day, and I get a blank screen and a "771 Searching for signal" error. Call DTV and am told this is a known issue from an equipment failure, I'll be back up soon? That's just great, starting the '08 season just like I wanted. (I had this error yesterday as well, so I don't exactly trust that it will be resolved immediately.)

And add insult to injury, Scott reports that goddamn Dish Network is lighting up NESN HD tomorrow. So happy I switched.

Not sure if I have a point in here anywhere, except to vent. Thanks for listening.

Probably the same reason why the game on ESPN2 also had an error message???

I tuned in the Red Sox on NESN HD (D* channel 623HD) about the 7th inning. It looked great from Japan in HD! Maybe the problem reported by BIG ED was local? Or cleared up before I started watching?

Strange that NESN couldn't produce any Spring Training games from the Sunshine State in HD but can do so from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Oh well. A win is a win.
