NeuLion now has an HD box

I was on the Neulion sight and noticed this - - - -

Does anyone know if SkyAngel will support this new HD box?

Looks interesting, beside HDTV it has some other nice features that the current box does not have:

HDMI and Optical Audio outputs
Picture in picture
Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound
Parental controls/locks

I doubt that SA will begin broadcasting in HD anytime soon since most of their content (unlike sports and newly released movies) is not the type that people really demand to watch in HD. The bandwidth demands on their servers would also be much greater with HD streams.

The news release also mentions Neulion offering streaming video to the PC. This is something I think SA should offer. It would be great to be able to watch the SA programs from a PC without having to purchase a second set-top box.

Yeah, I'd like that, too. I think the short-lived IPTV offering in Canada included PC streaming at no extra charge. Right now, my SA box is not far from my computer and I use a wired router, but if I could stream SA on my computer, I'd change the set-up and move my SA box to another room. Funny thing, in my computer room, my 24" computer monitor is bigger than my 20" TV!
