Hey, I just recently called to have DirecTV installed at my new apartment when I move on March 15th. Is is it a good idea to pay the monthly service fee just in case something goes wrong?

I believe that most companies make money in service agreements thats why they have them.

The question is do you feel lucky enough to roll the dice?

That's the problem, I'm not familiar with the hardware issues...haha. I had Time Warner and never had trouble with my HD DVR box. Are there a lot of problems that occur with the boxes and dishes?

everything is waranteed for the first 90 days. it takes 30 days for the protection plan to take effect from date of order. i say if you do need it, you'll probably know within the first 60 days.
