There are two that I know of: Winegard Trav'ler and MotoSat SL5

The MotoSat is quite a bit more expensive.

That would make sense seeing it covers both the KA as well as the KU.

If it was only Portable, I think they want all these mounted permanently.

This is a real problem when your camping and end up under trees. :(

I had never seen the MotoSat 5 before.

These answer a serious need. Before the motorized Slimlines, you had to use a hand-aimed tripod setup to get DIRECTV HD. DISH Network was looking awfully good to the RV crowd as all of their HD programming was (and still is) available using old school dishes.

I think you will see the D* ones coming down in price but it may be a few years.
I'm waiting to see the HD version of the Carryout.

Till then, I'll continue to use the Tripod and Slimline method.

so when and if they go HD with the carryout....will I have to buy a brand new one or do you think I will be able to convert it ?

From looking at the set ups that DO do HD, it looks like they will offer a HD conversion, but it's way to soon to tell seeing the HD for D* would rquire a new LNB set up, I guess it all depends on the manufacture ...
