wow, I thought satmex-8 was the next mexican bird to go up - didn't realize one of the Mexsat Bicentenario sats was already ready to rock and roll.

i haven't seen any firm launch date for satmex-8 other than the end of this year or 1st quarter 2013.
It must be pretty close because there is a whole lot of shuffling going on with satmex-5 and satmex-6 services, presumably to prepare users for follow-on service from satmex-5 to satmex-8 or a move to satmex-6 if they won't be using satmex-8.
