New Scan On 99W

Hi All,

While doing a fresh scan today on 99W with my new Edision Mio 4K, I experienced the three channels (NBC, FOX and This TV) on 3827 H, scanning in minus the video. The audio however, is fine. The signal is strong enough (9.8-10.2 DB). Anyone else experiencing this ?

Be sure to post the image and release date that you are using.

These three channels are playing fine with OpenVIX 2019-02-28, The North America Project 2019-03-03, and OpenPLI 2019-03-04.

Brian, where did you get a copy of The North America Project 2019-03-03? I haven't seen it posted as of yet, though EB made a comment that sounded like it would be released this past weekend.

Tried deleting the TPs and rescanning?

Yes...I deleted all transponders on 99W and re scanned after that incident, no change.
All transponders that were available to me before, scanned in with no issues.
The three channels on 3827 H once again scanned in with audio, but minus any video.

Hi All,

I noticed this same issue yesterday with the 4020 V feed on 107W...strong signal, but no video just audio,
I re scanned the entire satellite again after clearing all feeds on it, but ended up with the same result.
All other available feeds on this satellite come in great.
Anyone ??

This may be associated with the problem of your TV not handshaking with different image for auto setting in a previous thread. Probably an AV setting.

In the AV user settings menu, is the service setting the resolution or is the resolution set to the TVs resolution? What is the current resolution setting? What is the TV's max resolution?

Try a few different AV resolution settings. The current setting may be outputting a format that your TV or HDMI cable is not handling.

I was thinking of changing my HDMI cable. Not sure if it meets the require data speed.
I bought it several years ago and it seemed to be working fine. Maybe it’s now showing its age or lack of ability to take in all the information coming it's way.
I will also check into the TV resolution issues once again.

Brian and Mike,

Today I ordered a new (high speed, 4K Video at 60 Hz, 2160p4K) HDMI cable, in spite of the fact that the video on both 99W (3827 H) and 107W (4020 V) returned yesterday. Can't hurt to update this cable.
Never the less, I will also recheck the dish when it warms up outside it, may need a little tweaking after some rough winds recently.
Still lovin' this Edision Mio 4K.
