What about the cable/ends (Or run a temporary cable)?

I still think its the dish being warped that's the problem, did you try ANY of the suggestions I gave you? Remove the reflector....... from behind flex the dish while watching signal quality.........

its dark, so i will give it a try on Thursday where i will get someone to watch the signal while i adjust the reflector.

thanks

Signal quality Problem

Alright i am get frustrated with my dish setup, i keep getting only 30% quality all the time and sometimes at night it goes to only 10% on IA5. Im located in Ohio. I installed several LNB but all the same quality. Take a look at these pictures and tell me what is wrong with it.

If you at least have a signal you are half way there... Try skewing the lnb a bit or grag the lnb arm and nudge it left, right, up, down, etc. Make sure to have the tv outside with you when you do that, and have the signal meter on too... just the slightest of moves can make the difference between nothing and high quality. With my sg2100, I had to do a lot of nudging to get G10 in good. Keep an eye on the signal as you move the lnb because it's possible that as you tighten bolts and stuff, you knock it out of place... slightest of adjustments make all the difference. One mm or cm one way too far and you can lose everything or gain it all.

Looking at the last picture above, the dish looks warped to me. If it is, that can kill your signal, and would account for lower signal at night when it is cooler, and perhaps warping further.

I Said The Dish Was Warped In Post # 3

Its not your fault Linuxman :)

The OP started a 2nd thread (WITH THE SAME TITLE)

Its just the dish reflector that needs to be removed and un-warped :)

And as PSB mentioned in Post #3, do not overtighten the bolts that hold the reflector on.

The second picture from the left on the top row, if blown up shows a dimple by the bottom bolt on the right hand side when facing the dish which indicates an overtightened bolt.

tried to unwarp it but no luck getting it off the wall, also tried other suggestion but no luck also.

I want to share my experience.
I'm getting IA5 TP 11966 only 30% with poor pic quality with viewsat.
When I switched receiver to Fortec classic NA(my old receiver) in same dish position, signal up to 40% and acceptable, not excellent picture. In this case, nothing to do with LNB or dish, I will blame on viewsat.
I'm also still trying to adjust dish without success with viewsat.

Signal quality problem

The problem i am having with my dish is that i cannot get 11965 to get good quality i always end up with 0-15% quality. I already took my dish down to see if it was warped but it wasn't, i tried adjusting the elevation higher and lower but nothing there also. I was thinking maybe it is my dish or lnb, i was thinking of buying a Fortec 90cm or 80cm dish because it is round not elliptical shaped. which one is better?

Earlier post said to check dish for being warped and it wasn't so what could be the problem?

If someone is in the area of Avon, Ohio and could help me find out what the problem is i would really appreciate it.
