this is my first post. I just setup my fta this weekend. I am still don't understand most of it but will read as much as i can. M y question is i bought a pansat 3500 and it does not list alot of the transponders in the setup list. I don't see any hotbirds or the IA5. are they listed as something else? also i do not understand how to lock my box in with the true south setting.

thanks

Welcome to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA fourm.

Should have IA-5 listed, maybe its still listed as Telstar 5 ?

If you are in the USA the HotBirds will not be viewable from here anyway.
There usually is a way to enter new satellite names if needed, check the manual.

Give us your Zip code and we can tell you your true south satellite, and all the angles needed.

(Let us know if you have a motor and what kind it is, same with the LNBF)

yes the Pansat still lists the IA satellites as Telstar.

To add a satellite
-antenna setup (password)
-scroll down to edit satellite/TP
-scroll to bottom and it says "new"
-add satellite :)
