Newbie to FTA

Hi i'm new to the FTA world. i was on the direct tv dss world for about 4 yrs til the crash now coming back into the satellet world. Got a couple questions can i use my old rca direct tv dish? what is a good reciever? and is there an instructional manual to setup? any help would be great. thanks
